Lindernia rotundiflolia (L.) Alston (Linderniaceae): A new addition to the flora of Odisha

Abstract

An intriguing species of Lindernia All. was found during the field survey of aquatic plant diversity in Baripada city, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. After deep microscopic observation and review of literature, the specimen is identified as Lindernia rotundiflolia (L.) Alston which is reported for the first time from Odisha.  The detailed taxonomic description, comparison with its allied species, ecology, distribution, field and micro-morphological photographs are provided for easy identification of this species.
